Some voices should never fade.

EVOCA turns a lifetime of voice, video and story into a hardbound heirloom. Scan any code inside the book — and the person you love returns to the room.

EVOCA · from evocare, Latin · to call forth, to summon

A photograph goes quiet. A voice note gets lost in an old phone. A story told at Sunday lunch is gone by Monday.

We built EVOCA so that no family ever loses the sound of the people they love.

The Experience

This page is holding its breath.

Every EVOCA book is printed with QR codes at the moments that matter. Each one opens a private page carrying the voice, the face and the written word — together. Try it below.

Chapter Seven · The Year Everything Changed

Lagos, 1974

“We arrived with two boxes and one prayer. Your grandfather counted the money three times at the motor park, then he laughed — the way he always laughed when he was afraid — and said, God did not bring us this far to leave us.

How It Works

From one voice note a week
to an heirloom for a century.

i

They speak

Each week, your storyteller receives one gentle, guided question on WhatsApp — and answers in a voice note and short video. No apps. No typing. No stress for Mama.

ii

We craft

Our editors and intelligent tools weave every recording into flowing, beautiful prose — keeping their exact words, laughter and cadence intact.

iii

You approve

Chapters arrive for your review as the story grows. Add photographs. Correct a date. Watch a life take shape.

iv

They return

A hardbound book arrives. Inside, QR codes wait at every chapter. Scan one — and the voice, the face and the words fill the room again.

The Object Itself

Built like the heirloom it is.

EVOCA books are not photo albums. They are typeset, hardbound, foil-stamped volumes designed to be shelved beside Bibles and handed down at namings, weddings and burials.

Chapter Three · The Wedding at Surulere
“Rain fell, and nobody moved.”

The canopy leaked over the high table and your father, in his one good agbada, stood up and said the rain was a blessing arriving early. Everybody laughed. Your mother says she knew, in that exact moment, that she would follow this man anywhere.

The code on this page opens the recording of your mother telling this story herself — the pause before she laughs, the hiss of the kerosene lamp behind her, all of it kept exactly as it was spoken.

Hardbound & foil-stamped

Cloth or leather-touch covers, gold-foiled Summons mark, stitched binding rated for decades of open-and-close.

Archival paper

Heavyweight, acid-free stock chosen to outlive its first three readers.

Codes that keep their promise

Every QR code is guaranteed hosted — with a full digital export available to your family at any time.

Our Promise

Private. Owned by you. Forever means something here.

Your family owns everything

Every recording, every video, every word belongs to you — in writing, in the contract. We hold your memories in trust; we never own them.

Never public. Never sold. Never trained on.

Your pages are not social media. No feeds, no ads, no AI training on your family's faces and voices — without your separate, signed consent. Full stop.

Built to outlive us

Guaranteed hosting terms, a named successor for every archive, and your complete digital export available on request — so the promise survives even the company.

For the Diaspora

You left home.
Their voices don't have to stay behind.

From London, Houston, Atlanta or Toronto — commission an EVOCA for your parents in Nigeria. We handle everything on the ground: the weekly recordings, the editing, the printing. You receive the book wherever you are, and the whole family shares the pages behind the codes.

There is a story your father has told once, years ago, and never again. It is still in him. It is not yet anywhere else.

The Founding Families

We are recording our first
fourteen families now.

EVOCA is new. Rather than borrow anyone else's words, we would rather earn yours — so this page will hold real families, named and photographed, only once their books are in their hands.

Fourteen places. Each one a parent, a grandparent, or a couple whose story gets kept before it has to be remembered.

Questions

Asked often. Answered plainly.

My mother is 82 and doesn't use smartphones. Can she do this?
Yes — she is exactly who EVOCA was built for. Questions arrive as ordinary WhatsApp voice prompts, and a family member or our team can assist with the short video moments. Nothing to install, nothing to type, and she answers in her own language at her own pace.
How long does a project take?
A Legacy book typically takes 10–14 weeks from first recording to delivered book — one gentle question a week, never a burden. Vows and Corporate timelines are planned around your event date.
Who can see our family's pages?
Only people holding your printed book (and any passcode you choose). Pages are private by default — no public feed, no search, no strangers. Ever.
What happens to the recordings if something happens to EVOCA?
Your contract guarantees hosting for a defined term, a full digital export of everything on request, and six months' notice with handover support in any wind-down. Your memories are never hostage to our fortunes.
Can we add a storyteller who has already passed?
If you hold old recordings — voice notes, videos, cassettes — our Roots team can restore and weave them into the family archive, alongside the living voices that remember them.
I live abroad. How does delivery work?
We record and print in Nigeria and courier worldwide. Diaspora orders are billed in USD or GBP, and most families order copies for both sides of the ocean.
